About
My Therapeutic Approach
I am an Integrative Transpersonal Psychotherapist. My approach is depth-oriented, rooted in Jungian theory and archetypal psychology. My training is trauma-informed, shaped by the latest developments in neuroscience, and grounded in culturally sensitive practice.
I also hold an Advanced Diploma in Psychosynthesis Counselling. Psychosynthesis is a humanistic therapy with psychodynamic roots.
I am trained in trauma informed therapy, mindfulness, CBT techniques, somatic awareness, compassion based therapy and guided imagery.
I facilitate personal development workshops and therapeutic groups working with meditation, symbols, myths and archetypes.
My approach draws upon Jungian theory and Psychosynthesis. I focus upon the relationship between mind, body and feelings; developing conscious awareness; mindfulness; self compassion and self care. I am a trauma informed clinician. I have experience of working with addictions in the 12 step model. My influences and studies include Polyvagal Theory, Internal Family Systems, Creativity in Therapy, Self Actualisation and Coaching.

Other Experience
I have supported a wide range of clients through a change process using coaching and personal development tools. Over the past 15 years, I have facilitated personal development groups and led workshops covering topics such as archetypes and the shadow, the meaning of myth, the power of symbols, transformational rituals and meditation.
I also have many years experience of working in the field of death and dying, offering bereavement support. Prior to this, I worked in the field of mental health at managerial level, training and supervising staff who supported vulnerable adults with complex mental health needs. On a personal note, I am originally from Australia, and have lived in the U.K. for 25 years.
I'm passionate about travel, ancient history, psychology and art. I have lived for a short time in the U.S.A. and in Egypt, which has given me experience of different cultures and belief systems. I have practiced meditation and personal development throughout my life which has provided me with intuition and insight that informs how I work with clients.
