LGBTQ+ Therapy in Brighton & Online
A safe space to talk and be yourself
Are you looking for a therapist who understands what it means to be LGBTQ+ — without having to educate or explain how it feels to be a part of a minority?
If you’re LGBTQ+ and looking for a therapist, you may be carrying more than just stress, anxiety and low mood. You may also be holding years of feeling misunderstood, minimised, or unseen. You might have been bullied, harassed or feel oppressed in your community. You might be finding that it is difficult to be your whole self, even though it seems that some parts of the world have become more LGBTQ+ inclusive.
I offer supportive, affirming therapy for gay, lesbian, bisexual, trans, queer, non-binary, and questioning individuals — in Brighton or online.
My approach is trauma-aware, and rooted in the understanding that identity, relationships, and self-worth are often deeply connected. In my practice, you don’t need to explain your identity, justify your experience, or filter your story. This is a space where all of you is welcome.

Common Reasons For Coming To Therapy
People come to therapy for all sorts of reasons, including:
-
Questioning or exploring gender and/or sexuality

Beginning or considering gender transition

Coming out, or not feeling able to come out
-
Feeling like you don’t “fit” anywhere — even in LGBTQ+ spaces
-
Internalised shame, anxiety, low mood or disconnection
-
Relationship struggles, breakups, or rejection
-
Family dynamics
-
Processing past experiences of exclusion, discrimination, or trauma
-
Needing a place where your whole identity is understood
